  • Do you have a boat?

    No we do not have a boat, we make only shore dives at our local dive site.

  • What Marine life can I see while diving?

    In the Aegean there are no coral reefs but there are many species of sea bream, sea bass, Flounder and scorpion fish these are seen on a daily basis. For the macro enthusiast nudibranches, shrimps and hermit crabs are also common. Schools of Barracuda and Jacks are occasionally seen and if you’re very lucky rays, turtles and sea horses can be spotted.
    Typical marine life you might encounter includes octopuses, rockfish, scorpionfish, nudibranchs, schools of bream, triggerfish, stingrays, lionfish, and more. Occasionally, you might spot amberjacks, small tunas, or Mediterranean barracudas hunting in the blue. Some species are unique to our waters, while others are Lessepsian immigrants from the Red Sea.

  • Will I have my own instructor or a divemaster to take care of me?

    We offer Private dives and courses with your private instructor or divemaster.

  • Is the diving equipment heavy or difficult to carry?
    Diving equipment by design is reasonably heavy however we offer a full range of cylinder sizes and with prior notice we can arrange additional help for you and your equipment.
  • Do you have diving equipment to fit me?
    We offer a full range of wet suites, BCD's, boots and masks to fit all sizes and from 8 years old
  • I am a certified diver can my family join in with diving activities?

    Yes we offer a range of PADI beginner courses and where possible we can schedule underwater time together. If they do not want to dive, snorkelling equipment is readily available for hire.

  • Can I bring my underwater camera?

    If you are already a certified diver then you are more than welcome to bring your own camera which you are responsible for at all times. Personal cameras and "Go Pro" type systems are NOT permitted to be used by student divers on any PADI training programme. Kos Divers also offers and Photo service please ask for further details.

  • What is the water temperature?

    Water temperature ranges from 18c in April peaking at 27c in August dropping to 24c in October. We offer 3mm or 5mm shorties and 5mm long wetsuits.

  • Can I hire a dive computer?
    Yes when available please let us know when you book your dives.
  • Can I use my own equipment and is there a discount if I do?

    The price of a guided dive includes a full set of high quality and recently serviced equipment. You are welcome to use your own equipment providing it is in good working order and recently serviced.
    Kos Diver has the right to deny the use of any personal equipment for safety reasons.
    No discount is given for using your own equipment and divers are responsible for their own equipment at all times.

  • Can I get a full refund if I make an early web booking?

    You will receive a full refund if you decide to cancel your dive/course up to a maximum of 15 days from your original booking and not less than 15 days from the first arranged diving day.
    All dives and courses will be refunded due to medical/health reasons if notification is given 48hrs before the dive and a health/sickness certificate is provided from your doctor.
    All dives and course will be refunded due to flight/ferry cancellation to Kos, (a copy of the cancellation notification is required)

    Refund for payments made by credit card will be given at a 2% charge, and pay pal at a 3% charge.

  • Can I cancel scheduled dives or courses?

  • Will I get a refund if I am late for my dive or miss my transfer
    If you are late for your dive or transfer no refunds are given please be on time.
  • Do I get a refund if I decide not to continue with my PADI training course?

    No refunds will be given for a PADI course once it has started, if you decide not to continue after the first day of training

  • Do I still get my certification if I do not complete the course within the scheduled time?

    Final certification is only given if all PADI performance requirements are completed, if you require additional training hours extra charges will apply.

  • Am I ready to participate in any course or dives offered by Kos Divers?

    Please ask us for further details of the required PADI and kosdivers.com pre-requisites to participate in dives/course, extra cost may be charged for extra training i.e. Scuba reviews or Private dives.

  • Can Kos Divers cancel my dive without prior notice?

    On occasion for your safety Kos Divers can cancel your dive due to hazardous weather/poor underwater conditions. All dives will be rescheduled where possible or fees refunded.

  • Can I cancel my dive if it’s raining?
    Kos Divers will still dive during rain or cloudy period therefore fees will not be refunded.
  • Will I be charged for my refund?
    Refunds made to credit cards will be charged at 2% and there is a charge of 3% for Pay Pal transactions
  • I have not dived for an extended period of time and I am unsure about my diving capability can I still follow a guided dive?

    We offer scuba reviews and private dives to enhance your skills and increase your confidence whilst diving. If our instructors see that you cannot safely follow a guided dive then the dive will be ended early and no refunds will be given

  • Am I medically fit to dive?

    Please check the PADI medical questionnaire if you answer “YES” to any of the questions you will need to print of and take a questionnaire to your doctor for him/her to verify you are fit for diving and to sign the second page of the medical document. This must then be given to Kos Divers prior to any dives or course.
    No refunds are given if you fail the PADI medical questionnaire after booking your course
